I first hired Morgenroth Development because of a conversation I had with one of Pleasanton's building inspectors. He was at my house to sign off on a recent upgrade, and I took that opportunity to ask him who the best contractor was in Pleasanton. Without hesitation he said Morgenroth. Since that day Morgenroth has completed major remodel projects at my Pleasanton home, including raised the living room ceiling and installing skylights, and installing a large new bay window and window seat in my master bedroom. Jim and his team are unfailingly professional and they do absolutely beautiful work. They coordinate seamlessly with other contractors (for example, my roofing contractor and my painter for the living room project) and keep things on schedule and on budget. I would unhesitatingly recommend Morgenroth Development for any work needed for your home. And I can tell you from personal experience that you will enjoy doing business with him and his team!

Here's how I'd describe a truly excellent home/general contractor and I'd put Morgenroth Development strongly in this category: They communicate like a partner, not a vendor. They return calls promptly, explain what they're doing and why, give you honest timelines, and tell you about problems before they become surprises on your bill. You never feel like you're chasing them down. Their word is their contract. When they say they'll be there Monday at 8am, they're there. When they quote you a price, they stand behind it. Change orders are explained clearly and agreed upon in advance — not sprung on you at the end. We've had Morgenroth Development for several important projects and they've been champs! We recommend them.

Jim and his team remodeled our 1960’s home, taking it down to the studs and bringing into the modern day! Remodeling your home can feel daunting, but Jim was hands on, compassionate, and proactive in getting the job done and resolving any challenges. He remodeled our home in 2018 and his work has withstood the test of time. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Jim again!

We have employed Morgenroth Development for several years up to now and will continue to do so. Their work involved dryrot repairs, whole house painting and caulking, tile and floor repairs, complete bathroom/ shower renovations, brickwork, and fence replacement, and more. All of their work was most axcellent and beyond reproach. Jim Morgan Roth was always involved and insured everything met his and our standards. We give him and his company the highest respect and recomendation.
